She currently hosts and facilitates a monthly community symposium called it “It Takes a Village” where men and women of various ethnicities, backgrounds, communities and states gather to discuss many of the adversities and challenges facing our families, communities, and churches. She has used her influence and platform to create unity, sister and brotherly love and support. Betty desires to use her platform to be a catalyst to help mend the brokenness in relationships and families. She believes true healing and unity begins as a result of confession, conversations, healthy communication, process, repentance, and prayer. One of her favorite phrases is, “We can’t heal what we’re unwilling to confront.” James 5:16, Matthew 5:20-26 NIV. One of her favorite scriptures, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11, KJV.
