Dr. Jacquelyn Thomas-Miller
A former public school administrator and special education teacher, Dr. Jacquelyn Thomas-Miller is currently an administrator at Purdue University. A lifelong educator, she is passionate about adding value to others. Dr. Jackie is the CEO/Co-Founder of The Alternative Research Development and Educational Center (TARDEC, LLC) in Kokomo, Indiana. One of the major focuses of TARDEC is educational consulting. Jackie stays connected to education as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana Wesleyan University, responsible for the online instruction of those seeking Principal Licensure. An internationally certified Leadership Development Speaker and Trainer, Dr. Jackie is an author, certified Emotional Intelligence consultant, and John Maxwell YouthMAX Plus Facilitator. As a servant leader within her community and beyond, she shares her gifts, time, and talent on numerous Executive and Advisory Boards for state and local organizations. Seeking to be proactive in civil leadership, Dr. Jackie ran as the Democratic candidate for Howard County Auditor during the November 2016 election. Although, she was defeated by the incumbent auditor, Dr. Jackie welcomed the opportunity to connect with her community at a different level.
Dr. Jackie is married to (Ret.) Lt. Col. John T. Miller, and the proud mother of four adult children, Serenthia, Imhotep, Osiris, and Ramses and doting grandmother of two talented granddaughters, Olivia and Zenobia. She cherishes family time and being an active member of Alpha Mu Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN.
