Are You Even Suppose To Be Doing That?
In 2006, Karon suffered a life-changing injury to her back, severing and severely damaging nerves to her lower extremities. She credits the amazing power of God for her ability to walk, work and to take care of her family and serve her community in spite of what could have been a completely disabling injury. This life-changing moment is what pushed her to re-evaluate the way she spent her energy and her time. Karon is wife to husband, Greg Lancaster, step-mother and mother to their four children, Robert, Brianna, Paul and Ashlee. She attends church at Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene under Pastor David Leeder. Karon is a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College with degrees in Computer Information Systems (1998) and Secondary Education (2013). Having spent most of her years working in retail industries, Karon also spent 3 years with a tier two automotive supplier, and since 2010, has worked for FCA US, currently at the World Class Manufacturing Academy as a UAW Facilitator. She also serves in the community assisting with fundraising for the Kokomo Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial and is an alumna of the Leadership Kokomo Leadership development program, class of 2013.
