...And God Laughed
An advocate for God, community service and leadership, Sharon Reed-Corbett began her entrepreneurial journey with Esther’s Place Boutique in 2006. She is an alumna of Ivy Tech Community College and Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management. She is a Configuration Management II Certified Professional, a SixSigma Greenbelt, certified for leadership development and Facilitating for Excellence and Business Consulting. She is a Leadership Kokomo Alumna and past director of the program. Sharon was ordained in 1999 and served as Pastor of Men, Women and Children (MWC) Evangelistic Outreach until 2004. She is the founder of The Esther Anointing Ministry. Sharon was commissioned as a Stephen’s Minister at St. Vincent Hospital Kokomo and completed the Stephen’s Ministry Leaders Training to train others.
With the belief we continue to reinvent ourselves, after retirement from Delphi in 2007, Sharon fulfilled her dream and opened Esther’s Place Boutique. This was an antidote for her passion for fashion!
Her assignment with Delphi and the Ministry presented opportunities to travel globally. She received the Outstanding Professional from Indiana Wesleyan University, Ivy Tech Community College Distinguished Alumni 2007 Award and Sisterhood Christian Service Award from Women of Wayman in 2007 and was nominated for the Elizabeth Foster Award. In 2015, she was featured on the cover of Heartland magazine, Women in Business Issue.
Sharon serves at the First Church Nazarene on the Pastoral Prayer Shield. She enjoys spending time with friends and most of all her children and grandchildren.
