Tracy is a servant-leader, teacher, licensed counselor, conference speaker, relationship builder, and a first time author. A native of Indianapolis, IN., Tracy credits her academic discipline to the Indianapolis Public School System and is a proud graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University, a certification in social work from Clark Atlanta University, as well as a master’s degree in counseling from Indiana State University.
Tracy currently works for the Indianapolis Public School System and is an assistant professor at Indiana State University. She is the co-founder of Be Free Indy, a nonprofit organization for human trafficking awareness. Tracy’s passion to empower girls and young women has led to the start of several mentoring groups. As a counselor, she started several groups, including the Girls to Women Mentoring Program and the Academic Success Program. Tracy hold numerous civic roles and responsibilities throughout central Indiana. She has received several awards and acknowledgments for her outstanding professional and community involvement.
Tracy is also a licensed minister, serving at Living Water Fellowship Church of Indianapolis, IN, under the senior teachers and administrators Pastors Steve and Kim Outlaw. Tracy is an avid learner who enjoys fashion, traveling, and giving back to the community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Tracy is married to Dale R. Pruitt and is the mother of four adult children and a teenage son.
